Willeson Metals is a Canadian-based, privately-owned mineral exploration company focused on the acquisition, exploration, and development of high-quality gold projects in the province of Manitoba, with a particular emphasis on Proterozoic terrains, which have long been under-explored in Canada for gold. The company's portfolio of four, 100%-owned, gold projects are all located within the Proterozoic Lynn Lake greenstone belt of northern Manitoba.
Willeson Metals' vision is to explore for and discover Tier 1 gold deposits in the Proterozoic terrains of Canada and to do so in a responsible, safe and sustainable manner in order to create long-term value for all stakeholders.
The Beaucage Property, encompassing 5,888 ha, is located 72 km southeast of the town of Lynn Lake, Manitoba within the Paleoproterozoic Lynn Lake greenstone belt, of the internal Reindeer Zone of the Trans-Hudson Orogen. The belt is bounded by the South Indian Domain to the north, and by the Kisseynew Gneissic Domain to the south.
Beaucage lies along the contact of the Lynn Lake belt and Kisseynew Domain. The property is known to host multiple styles of gold mineralization, including iron formation-hosted, structurally controlled quartz stockwork and veins in clastic sediments, and quartz-filled shear zones in the Black Trout Diorite, all hosting numerous significant historical gold assay values. The property has seen little modern exploration; many of the high-grade gold occurrences have not been systematically explored in almost 30 years.
